Policies and Procedures
1. CHILD PROTECTION and SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding is at the heart of all our work in school. Every member of our school community has a duty to promote the welfare of children and ensure we protect them from abuse or the risk of abuse. To read our child protection and safeguarding policy click HERE
At Blewbury School we acknowledge that children who feel safe, happy and good about themselves will learn more effectively because they will have the confidence to try new things. They are more likely to do their best and feel proud of what they can do. Happiness and positive self-esteem also help children cope with mistakes; it helps them to try again, even if they fail at first. It is for this reason that we have developed a positive behaviour strategy designed to build self-esteem, emotional resilience and promote the language associated with having a growth mindset.
Our School Behaviour Policy is currently under review.
3. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
As a school we recognise that at times things can go wrong. We want to work with you to resolve any concerns you may have and we welcome your feedback. Our complaints procedure sets out the process for how complaints are resolved . For more information click HERE
4. CHARGING AND REMISSIONS
We want our curriculum to be rich and exciting, and full of experiences that bring learning to life. This means we will occasionally ask for voluntary contributions to cover the cost of these trips and visits. As a school we never exclude any child from an activity if parents or guardians are unable to pay. For more information click HERE
