Blewbury Festival of Art 2010
Blewbury as a village is very well known for art and artists and there has been a rich tradition of both the appreciation of work and artisans living within the community.
At the Primary school we really believe in celebrating the talents of all children whether they be in Literacy, Mathematics, Physical Education , Art , Music or in social awareness. We have over a number of years worked alongside professional artists and over ten years ago decided to hold an exhibition of Professional work in school.
This has two main purposes
Firstly to enable parents and children to appreciate a wide range of talent at a venue within their community.
Secondly as a fund raising opportunity for the school - artists pay to have their work hung or displayed as well as paying the school a percentage commission on all sales.
This will be the second exhibition where we will display work from the children, this proved very popular in October 2008.
You can see some photographs of the last exhibition if you click on the appropriate page under Extended Curriculum.
Do come along to see the exhibition. Please click on links to find out more.
